RAQUEL ECHEVARRÍA
A multidisciplinary photographer and graphic designer from the Basque Country, Raquel Echevarría is currently based in Brussels. Over the past four years, she has worked as a freelance photographer within the culture and arts sector, collaborating with professionals and institutions in the fields of art and dance.
Specializing in documenting art openings and exhibitions, she also focuses on portrait photography, capturing her subjects mostly in natural light and working in both digital and analogue formats. Her work in Brussels has led to opportunities to document European events and collaborate with some of the city’s leading contemporary art museums and organizations, further refining her skills and techniques across various photographic disciplines.
Her background in art direction and visual content creation has always kept her passion for design and visual communication at the forefront of her practice. In 2024, she expanded her expertise by completing a Master’s in Graphic Design and Digital Environments, incorporating graphic design as an additional service into her freelance work.
In addition to her freelance photography and design projects, she currently collaborates with Ambushed.tv as a lead visual researcher and AI image creator. Working alongside photographers, directors, filmmakers, and graphic designers from around the world, she helps develop and deliver high-quality pitch proposals for film directors and agencies in advertising, feature films, and documentaries.
